OBJECTIVES AND TASKS
The AC/DC standards Laboratory of KEBS is responsible for the maintenance of national standards for voltage, current, resistance, capacitance and inductance and dissemination of the units by means of calibration.
The laboratory is also responsible for establishing the degree of equivalence of its national standards with national standards of other National Metrology Institutes (NMIs) by participating in international comparison programs. The accuracies of national standards are transferred to the secondary and working standards by means of calibration.
MEASUREMENT CAPABILITIES
The DC voltage, AC voltage, DC current, AC current, Capacitance, DC resistance and Inductance measurements can be performed at the AC/DC Standards Laboratory. The capabilities for the given measurements are as follows:
- DC voltage; 10 mV - 1000V
- AC voltage; 1 mV - 1000V (50 Hz – 1 kHz)
- DC current; 1 mA - 100 A
- AC current; 1 mA - 20A (40Hz)
